The 2019 CEF Transport call, which makes €100 million available to support new and ongoing transport projects and was launched on 5 December 2018, is now officially open for applications. The call for proposals supports two priorities of the CEF Transport annual work programme 2019 under the General envelope, falling within two funding objectives of the CEF Regulation:
- Funding objective 1 (indicative budget €65 million):
- Projects on the Comprehensive Network (only cross-border sections and maritime ports)
- Funding objective 2 (indicative budget €35 million):
- Reduction of Rail Freight Noise
Two types of applicants can submit their proposal:
- One or more Member States
- With the agreement of the Member State(s) concerned, international organisations, joint undertakings, or public or private undertakings or bodies established in an EU Member State
The call was presented at a workshop with the participation of Mr. Fotis Kouvelis, Minister of Shipping and Islands Policy, Mr. Nektarios Santorinos, Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. Christos Lambridis, Secretary General of Ports, Maritime Policy and Maritime Investment, representatives of Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, NSRF Strategic Structure, the 20 ports of the comprehensive network and Ocean Finance.
